Over 500 people in Dorset have signed up to support the trial of a Covid-19 vaccine. The trial is being supported by our research team. Blood appointment Cancellations

Due to a national problem in the supply of biochemical reagents for blood testing in local hospitals, we have been instructed to cancel all routine blood appointments. We apologise for any inconvenience and will rebook patient blood tests as soon as possible.
Flu Vaccination Programme 2020/21

The flu clinic on 1st November has been cancelled and rescheduled for 8th November. Your booking will be automatically moved to the new date of 8th. If you cannot make this date please email our firstname.lastname@example.org email address.

Our Flu clinics are being run offsite this year due to restrictions caused by the current Coronavirus pandemic.
In the first instance we will be hosting 3 drive/walk through sessions at the Poole Harbour Ferry Port.
These will be on the following dates:
Sunday - 11th, 18th & 25th October from 0900 to 1400.
Shortly, you will receive a text, email or letter invitation with instructions on how to book and with a unique barcode. You MUST print your invitation and bring this with you to the port.

Leg Club Update - Opening 15th October
At present we are opening on the 15th October 2020 and aim to continue with the opening every Thursday AM at Upton Social Club. It will run a little different with pre-arranged arrival times and a reduced number of members. So please do not turn up as you would have done previously. We advise anyone who has symptoms suggestive of Cornonavirus to have a test, which is free on the NHS.

Wearing Face Masks in Shops - New Guidance from 24th July
It has been announced that the Government will make it mandatory for the public to wear face masks while in shops from Friday 24th July.
We strongly encourage the public to follow Government guidance and wear a face mask.
GPs are not required to write exemption letters for patients. If you are exempt and during an outing are asked to wear a face mask, you are eligible to verbally self certify that you are exempt.

National Campaign For Coronavirus Vaccination Volunteers
The NHS is seeking volunteers to be part of a national scheme to support vaccination studies for Coronavirus. This research will help find a way to stop the pandemic whilst being part of a large research study.
The Adam Practice research team will be supporting these studies and would like to invite you, your family and friends to take part. Please click on the link below to register your interest at becoming a volunteer.

The NHS is looking for up to 500,000 members of the public nationally to take part. Once registered your details will be stored by NHS Digital and will be sent to local teams for eligibility checks before commencement of any study.
School Children Immunisation - Catch Up Service
Clinics to provide immunisation for school-aged children who missed their vaccinations during the 2019/20 academic year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will be running throughout the Summer holidays.

NEW Dorset Physiotherapy Service - Self Referral
A new Physiotherapy service is now available in Dorset that you can access without visiting your GP first. This service is available to anyone in Dorset who is registered with a Dorset GP surgery. But is only available to patients who are aged 16 and over. Please visit www.mskdorset.nhs.uk to self refer.

Covid -19 Research by The Adam Practice
The Adam Practice is taking part in the study of a Covid-19 treatment.
If you've developed symptoms of COVID-19 which include a fever, a persistent cough and/or a loss or change to sense of smell or taste
during the last 3 days, you may be able to take part in a clinical trial of a new treatment.
We're looking for people who are either 65 years of age or older, or over 50 years of age with a pre-existing medical condition.
